Truly a magnificent land, that is remote from most of the population centers. Nature is at its` best with the forests, lakes and wildlife assuming the major role. Many scenic overlooks and views of Lake Superior driving the Trans Canada Highway north of Sault Ste Marie. Park system that allows for walking trails, canoeing, fishing and even bathing in the cool waters of Lake Superior is excellent.

John`s Recollections
Other than the wildlife and scenic views every mile or so, there are few others that wish to make this area home during the harsh winter periods. The scenery however is just super and travelling Hwy 19 along the rugged shore of Lake Superior provides many opportunities to stop and view.
