Zion National Park - Pre park Scenery

Travel State Route 9 from the south entrance of Zion National Park, to its end in Mount Carmel junction, where it meets with US-89, as this is just a wonderful scenic section that passes thru several tunnels and has great perspectives of the many mountains.

John`s Recollections
This drive to the South entrance is exceptional. The sandstone hills make it rather curvy, but allowed for easier tunnelling thru the cliffs. While the Canyon road provides great close up views of the hills, the road in allowed one to have a great overall perspective.
