Drive encompasses much of Clearwater downtown business area. The city has done a remarkable update lately to the downtown area, with a new theater attracting major entertainment, updated roads and sidewalks with eating establishments. Winter, the world famous dolphin is moving to the downtown area in a new building in year 2017.

Memorial Causeway to Clearwater Beach
Reaching the pinnacle of the bridge provides an excellent view of the Clearwater Beach area. Still one of my favorite views in the area, and this is after a decade of wintering in the surrounding areas. The first viewing of each season brings home that feeling that we are so fortunate to winter here most years.
Stops along the way
Clearwater Marina
Actually not that large, but it does provide boating facility for either fishermen and cruises.
Clearwater Coachman Park
Coachman Park ( stopover if wanted ) is an excellent park that has an great jazz festival in February and is on the Intercoastal Waterway and located in the downtown area.
Clearwater Intercoastal Fishing
Waterway at this point is shallow and allows local citizens to wade out in their attempt to catch the big one.
