Come with your "Two Friends"
as we take a trip to visit Major League Ballparks on the West Coast of the US

It started as a hobby and became a dream to attend a home game for each of the 26 teams.

The Dream got larger as 4 teams were added and several ballparks were replaced with new stadiums.

This trip & page will attempt to show you the extent of our passion
and on how it has changed our retirement years to provide others opportunity
to look before they go.

All items are on our ,
web site, full size with more information,
including many more pictures and short video clips.
Have fun, finding them,
and be sure to click on one of the ads to help cover maintenance cost.
OOPS, almost forgot, tell your friends about our site,
after all we would like to have the world with us.

And now for a story
about this baseball trip.
How would you like to
travel 11,922 miles
in just over a month.

Well we did!
Larry drove from Toronto, and John flew from Tampa and we met in Detroit, Michigan.

Driving towards Mount Rushmore we stopped in Mitchell, South Dakota the second night.

Well this is why one of our highlights is the
Corn Palace. Corn Palace

Then next was the
South Dakota Badlands, South Dakota Badlands

and then on to
Mount Rushmore. Mount Rushmore

Close by is the
Crazy Horse Memorial,

and on the way to our first ballgame in Denver thru Wyoming is
Fort Laramie,

followed by ride to the top of the
Rocky Mountain National Park,

before we ended up near
Moab, Utah

and an evening look at the
Canyonland National Park.

Things started to unravel here as previous plans were changed and we headed south to the
Natural Bridges National Monument,

past some great scenery to
Lake Powell,

then to the North Rim of the
Grand Canyon,

then getting wet at
Zion National Park,

and walking by the hoodoos at
Bryce Canyon

we continued the circle trip and hit Moab once again. Several nights in different locations had not brought us closer to seeing a ball game, so a decision was made to get back closer to Denver, however we went a bit south and headed east to the
Royal Gorge Bridge,

followed by taking the cog railway to
Pike`s Peak

along with its next door neighbour
The Garden of the Gods.

Ah Denver, is close by but visiting
Coors Brewery quenched the thirst.

Now for our first ballgame this trip (about a week off our original plans).... , the
Colorado Rockies

Back on the road, thru the
Rockies Rocky Mountains

north thru Utah to
Salt Lake City Tabernacle

and then time for a rest visiting friends at Meridian, Utah. Even there we took a sidetrip to the mountains for
Panning for Gold

Rested up and driving alongside the
Columbia River

Just before the ball game in Seattle, we visited
Whidbey Island

now for our second ball game, the
Seattle Mariners

Back on the road driving the lower portion of the
Oregon Coast Five Star

then thru the majestic
Redwood Forests

on thru the winding roads to
Sonoma & Napa Wine Valleys,

thru the scenic tourist area of
San Francisco,

now for our third ballgame, the
San Francisco Giants

back on the road driving to
San Diego

now for our fourth ballgame, the
San Diego Padres

back on the road again, past the
Salton Sea

on to a new & upcoming gambling mecca
Laughlin, Nevada

then a sidetrip to revisit the south rim of the
Grand Canyon

continuing eastward to
Walnut Canyon National Monument

driving towards the
Petrified Forest National Park

back on the road again on the way to
Tuscon, Arizona

where there is many, many cactii at
Saguaro National Park

now for our fifth ballgame, the main reason for the trip in the first place (as this was the only city that we had not visited at that time) the
Arizona Diamondbacks

back on the road again, heading to
El Paso, Texas

then a reststop for lunch at
San Antonio, Texas

now for our sixth & final ballgame, the
Houston Astros

back on the road again, almost a year to the day from hurricanes Katrina & Rita, near
New Orleans

before heading back to Toronto & Tampa, the last visit to
Biloxi, Mississippi

And the moral of the story

We all have time
to follow our dreams.

Let`s Play Ball!
