John's Comments
From Georgetown you can take a ferry over to Stocking Island where there is another excellent beach and a great place for lunch. Try it, you'll like it. Many large yachts anchor near here for the winter months. This island is within a mile of the main island of Exuma.

John`s Recollections
Enjoyed the beaches and the quiet so much that I rented a small boat for a return trip for more exploration. Stepping on beaches where the soft sand has rarely had visitors was worth it.
