John's Comments
Turning south from Erie, the hills become more prominent, and there are few towns close to the highway. As you get closer to Pittsburgh there are more areas that provide accommodation and dining, but overall the driving is quite good on the divided highway with the exception of snow squalls at times during winter months.
John`s Recollections
From Erie the hills rise in elevation as one approaches Pittsburgh. The fall colors can be very vibrant. Many ups and downs along the way but most are very manageable with wooded lands quite prominent.
