Drive - Apache Junction to Roosevelt Lake
State of Arizona

A most treachorous drive through the central portion of Arizona, which comprizes mostly as shubbery, gulleys ( some quite deep ) , cactus plants and lakes. For those that wish to see and experience the wild west countryside, during the time of the wagon trains, then this is a prime example.

John's Comments
Started out great, but as time went on the road became more impassable. It truly was a pleasure to reach Roosevelt Lake and turn north, but the scenery along the way will never be forgotten. In particular, there was one location (about 40 seconds in on the clip), that highlighted the drive. Here we had a major descent, with a near collision, halfway down. Was scary, but the sights portrayed were unforgetable.

John`s Recollections
This drive between Apache Junction and Lake Roosevelt in Central Arizona was taken prior to our video clips, so here is a picture recap from our Gallery. This was over 20 years prior to today, but it still is remembered as a highlight. Today the road may hopefully be paved and a bit easier to travel, but at the time it really was an adventure for us.
