Vegetable & Fruits of all sizes and shapes are grown in this very fertile country-side. As you enter Los Angeles on the way to San Diego the landscape changes to one of highways and people everywhere. San Diego in the harbor area attempts to put on a park place atmosphere. I found it quite contrasting, as the farmland in the fertile valley, is so different from the heavy population of Los Angeses and San Diego.

John`s Recollections

This drive from San Fransico travelled mostly thru what is termed the breadbasket of America. Until you are able to view parts of it, it is impossible to realize how large of an area it really is. Also there are numerous types of crops, many of which supply our appetites during the cold northern winter climates. Closer to Los Angeles the San Gabriel Mountains begin and within miles so does the traffic. From Los Angeles to San Diego you are basically driving in a city type atmosphere.

On the road driving to San Diego from San Fran.
Commonly known as the Breadbasket of America! When leaving the San Francisco area it is very soon that on both sides of Interstate 5, miles upon miles of our favorite crops are encountered. So much so, that you would consider it impossible not to satisy the appetites of North Americans. Closer to Los Angeles the San Gabriel Mountains begin and within miles so does the traffic. From Los Angeles to San Diego you are basically driving in a city type atmosphere.
