Oregon. Scenery on the West Coast is spectacular but non more than the drive from Bandon to the California border . Here it seems that with each corner on Highway 101 another great scene is before your eyes. The town of Bandon with it's Old Town section, Port Orford is one of the best whale watching spots, Gold Beach where the famous Rogue River meets the spectacular Pacific are all on the northern Oregon coastal drive.
Visit a Fish Hatchery as you take the drive from Boise, Idaho to Portland , much of which is along the mighty Columbia River. This drive along the Columbia itself, is worth the price of admission for anyone.
