This sculpture is a work of art. The size is beyond belief and when (if) completed, it will be remembered forever. Truly fitting for Crazy Horse (the individual) and the North American Indian tribes. A work in Progress, but certainly mammouth in size. Very impressive structure that allow easy access to get closer to the Memorial and at the same time provides buildings that house museum artifacts. The museum gives an excellent history on the construction and of the early life of Crazy Horse.

John`s Recollections
Very interesting memorial that has now the appearance of Crazy Horse, at least the facial portion. Much more work to be done, but while there it was a work in progress and with time it can become one of America`s great sculptures.

The Crazy Horse Memorial
With Mount Rushmore close by to provide the inspiration, this memorial of Crazy Horse is rather appropriate as it is a fitting depiction of one of our Native Indian leaders. What is rather striking is the size of this structure, far surpassing the Presidents nearby. Commercialism is more apparent where many opportunities arise to purchase additional products, like our bus tour to the base of the mountain to view Crazy Horse close up.
