New River Gorge & Bridge

A rugged, white water river, flowing northward through deep canyons, the New River is among the oldest rivers on the continent| John's Comments | I find this to be the right spot and time to take a break from the drive down to Florida. Scenery is terrific and the half hour to an hour stop is just about the right time to rest the eyes and continue the journey. When there, and if you have the time, take the stairs down to a lower level where one can get a good view of the river, bridge all at the same time. |
