The area offers outstanding year-round outdoor recreation including golf, fly fishing, boating and water sports, plus skiing and other winter sports. In summer, temperatures are usually cool and pleasant. In winter, abundant snowfall makes this a paradise for winter recreation.

John`s Recollections
Drive started out in a rather, flat valley, quite barren, but as time progressed the valley became rolling hills and at times quite scenic. Roads were fairly good with many passing lanes to relieve the two way traffic.
